Prayer...

I think that many of us take the power of prayer for granted…. It amazes me the things that God can do if we are in constant communication with him with all areas of our lives.

I wanted to share a praise with everyone. About 2 weeks ago, I was doing the math on our fundraising and ultimately came up with a big number that we still needed to raise. The economic crisis has affected us all and raising money at a time like this, we knew, was going to be challenging, but felt confident God wanted us to go on this trip. So anyways, I was a little nervous about telling the group, but knew that we would get through it somehow. As the week passed on, I was trying to figure out our airfare and I was calling all the airlines, but finally chose to go with American. Since this is my first time purchasing international airfare, I was uncertain about the price range, but new that American was cheaper than the competition. Apparently, A LOT cheaper! We got such a good deal on tickets that it bumped the entire cost of the trip down about $400 per person! Thank you God! We had been praying and praying and God answered.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” Philippians 4:6

Please keep the Guatemala team in your prayers as the students finish out their classes and prepare for the journey in the next couple of weeks.

  1. Dear Erin and teammates, The entire Geiger family is in prayer and solidarity with you all as you embark on this wonderful mission. God has his hand firmly on all of you and He has already prepared the work in advance that He wants you to do. You are all so faithful to answer His call "...Whom shall I send? Here I am Lord. Send me!..." We partners could not be more proud of you than we already are. Please take lots of photos and post them so we can pass them along to our churches, and they can pray for this mission also. Love and Blessings always, Cathy Geiger and family
